Purpose
Purpose
The Weatherstone Elementary School (WES) Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a local chapter of the National PTA, North Carolina PTA and Wake County PTA. It is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit made up of parents, families, teachers, staff, administrators, and other involved adults who work together for the success of all children and families.
The mission of the WES PTA is to positively impact the lives of each and every child and family at WES.

Elizabeth Jacxsens
As a mother of three children (rising 8th, 6th, and 2nd) and a Weatherstone neighborhood resident, I have been part of the Weatherstone Elementary School community for nine years. As a room parent, volunteer, committee member, and most recently, a substitute teacher, I am honored to continue for another year in this larger role in Weatherstone’s PTA. I am so excited about the team we have in place for this coming school year and I look forward to helping our students, teachers, and staff have another successful and memorable year.

I’m a mother of a rising third grader and live in the Weatherstone neighborhood. I have been active in volunteering for events at the school for the last few years including being a room parent. I have served as audit chair, spirit rock chair and so many other roles over the past few years. I’m looking forward to continuing in this more involved role and really helping our students and teachers make this a really great year!

Our family has loved our first three years being a part of the Weatherstone Community. So far I’ve been a room parent and volunteered to plan and help at several different events. Our kids are now rising third and second graders, and we’re looking forward to all this upcoming year has to bring. I’m grateful and excited to have been elected as part of this team to help continue all the incredible work that the teachers, staff, and parents have done to make this school the great place that it is.

I’m so excited to be serving as the Treasurer for our PTA this year. This will be my ninth year at Weatherstone, with a rising second and fifth grader here, as well as a rising eighth grader. I have loved contributing to our school community as a room parent, event volunteer, book fair co-chair and 5th grade committee member. I’m looking forward to working alongside this amazing team to support our school and enrich the experiences of our students this year!

This will be my fourth year as part of the WES community. I have a rising kindergartener and third grader. Over the past three years, I’ve served as a Room Parent, participated in several PTA committees, and volunteered at many WES events. I’m looking forward to serving as a PTA officer this school year and am excited to work together to create the best learning environment for all WES students, teachers, and staff!
