Welcome to the Weatherstone Parent-Teacher's Association. We have a very active PTA and always look forward to new members with fresh ideas. The PTA Board meets monthly. All members are invited to attend. Please check the calendar and the newsletter for the meeting days and times. The PTA Mission The mission of the PTA is threefold: ADVOCACY -- To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children. PARENTING SKILLS -- To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children. PUBLIC EDUCATION -- To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation. The Objectives of the PTA To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, and community To raise the standards of home life To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education The primary emphasis of the PTA is the promotion of the PTA mission and objects. A PTA’s real working capital lies in its members, not its treasury. When PTA’s invest their human resources in programs, they create benefit for all children and youth with modest outlays of money.

The PTA Mission

The mission of the PTA is threefold:
