Congratulations to our PTA Spotlight Volunteers for December, Melanie and Jim Farrell.
This is Melanie and Jim’s 5th year volunteering at WES. They have three children. Grace in 4th grade, Carter in 2nd grade, and Brain, who will start Kindergarten next year.
Melanie is the co-editor of the Newsletter Committee. This is her second year serving in this position. The Newsletter Committee is responsible for the weekly publication of the “Explorer Express”. Much of her time is spent soliciting and editing articles for the newsletter. Currently, this newsletter is the main vehicle to communicate school news and events to WES parents.
Melanie also enjoys volunteering for classroom activities such as Book and Bite and Learning Experiences. This is her 5th year serving as a Co-Room Parent. In the past, Melanie has always found time to help out with the Spring Carnival.
Jim is the PTA Webmaster and co-chair of the Sound System Committee. Much of his volunteer time is spent maintaining the PTA website and providing assistance with the audio equipment for events such as the 5th Grade Holiday Musical and the Talent Show.
Thank you, Melanie and Jim! We truly appreciate all of your hard work for our students and the school. For the month of December, Melanie and Jim will have use of the "PTA Volunteer" parking spot. Please help us honor them by leaving the space available.
