Spotlight Volunteer of the Month

Kathy Wood

Congratulations to our PTA Spotlight Volunteer for November, Kathy Wood.

Kathy has been volunteering her time at WES for 2 years now.  She has two children attending WES.  Thomas is in first grade and Gracie is in Kindergarten.

Kathy is serving as co-chair for Dining for Dollars, and was co-chair for the Fall Fundraiser this year.  She is also a Room Parent in both her kids’ classrooms.  Kathy commented, “It’s really fun to spend time in their classrooms, getting to know their classmates and see(ing) them interacting in their world.  My children light up when they see me at school!”

Kathy enjoyed her experience with the Fall Fundraiser.  She feels it not only gave her an opportunity to raise money for the school, but to also learn the physical layout of the school, meet teachers, and get to know some of the older students for the first time.

Thanks again, Kathy! We truly appreciate your all of your hard work.  For the month of November, Kathy will have use of the "PTA Volunteer" parking spot.  Please help us honor her by leaving the space available.
