February Spotlight Volunteer – Cheryl Yee

Congratulations to Cheryl Yee who is our February Volunteer Spotlight!  Cheryl retired in February 2015 as a WCPSS Teacher Assistant. She has been volunteering at Weatherstone since September 2015. Cheryl helps with Tuesday folders and works with individual students on literacy activities in Ms. Harris’ First Grade classroom. She also volunteers in Mrs. Hyde’s Kindergarten classroom. Last year, you could find her volunteering in Mrs. Hodge’s class as well.

Cheryl says, “Volunteering for me is so important in school because I know doing routine tasks in class leaves teachers more time to spend with     children; it is important for students to get individual attention too. I’m rewarded with relationships that make a difference in my life.”

Thank you, Cheryl, for all your time and service at WES!
